As per the report 'Key Indicators of Domestic Tourism in India' unveiled on June 29th, 60 percent out of 11 lakh individuals who preferred overnight trips between July 2014 to June 2015 were Women. In the case of Punjab, It is up to 66 percent.
The Survey results hint Telanganites are more broadminded than people of most of the states in the country. Down South, People are welcoming the idea of single - women travelling and that's a good trend indeed.
State Government need to make use of this positive indication to promote Tourism.
