Vienna’s opera house is constantly featured as one of the best in the world. Which is why it must have been an unusual task to turn the opera house into an IMAX theatre for the worldwide premiere of ‘Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation’. The venue has been used as a location in the movie but is made for stage performances, not 70 mm film screen. ProducersTom Cruise and Paramount Pictures, however, worked with IMAX and built the projection system from scratch in time for the movie’s world premiere after surmounting substantial odds.
