PV Sindhu - Inspiring Journey From Holding A Badminton Racket To Padma Shri and Now Olympic Medal


After receiving Padma Shri at 19 years, she has made the whole Nation proud by assuring an Olympic medal in 2016.

Winning is a Habit for Sindhu, since she was 8 years old.

Sindhu's both parents were Volleyball players and Sindhu opted Badminton drawing inspiration from Gopichand.

She missed her close sister's wedding as she needs to attend a match at Lucknow.





She was honored with Padma Shri when she was just 19 years old

She won Arjuna Award when she was just 18 years old


She used to travel long distances each day to reach her coaching centre. She has never been late even one day. That shows the passion !

She is the first Indian woman to win a Singles Medal at World championships
