Oxford Tracker Says India Is Far Better In Controlling Covid 19

  • The world is now praising the way India is tackling the deadly Corona. Here is another confirmation. The prestigious Oxford COVID 19 Government Response Tracker, which tracks the responses of various governments in controlling Corona, has praised India for implementing the lockdown. The report says that India has fared better than many resource-rich and infrastructure-wise superior nations.

  • The Oxford, which tracked the Government response on 13 issues, found that India has closed down schools, film theatres and other malls earlier than the other countries. Similarly, it was among the first countries to ban air travel from and to China, especially Wuhan. Even in stopping public transport and public gatherings, India has done better than most of the rich countries.

  • The lockdown, implemented two weeks ago, also seems to be paying rich dividends as India has so far managed to control the spread of the Corona positive cases. But for the Markaz incident, India could have done much better.

  • The Oxford tracker has also praised the Indian Government's steps to help the poor people and the migrant workers, who could be severely affected by the lockdown. It had its plans ready for providing relief to the poor and the marginalised, the report said.

  • So, here's something that other countries can learn from India!! Despite its huge population and large size, India has done very well in controlling Corona, says the report.
