- The recently discovered bridge, currently named Adam's Bridge and made of a chain of shoals, 30 km long, in the Palk Straits between India and Sri Lanka, reveals a mystery behind it.
The bridge's unique curvature and composition by age reveal that it is man-made. Legend, as well as Archeological studies, reveal that the first signs of human inhabitants in Sri Lanka date back to the primitive age, about 1,750,000 years ago and the bridge's age is also almost equivalent.

- This bridge starts as a chain of shoals from the Dhanushkodi tip of India’s Pamban Island and ends at Sri Lanka’s Mannar Island.
- Water between India and Sri Lanka is only 3 to 30 feet (1 to 10 meters) deep.
The bridge currently named as Adam’s Bridge (most popularly known as Ram Setu) is about 18 miles (30 km) long.

- The Longmen Grottoes or Longmen Caves are some of the finest examples of Chinese Buddhist art. Housing tens of thousands of memes of Buddha and his disciples, they are located 12 kilometers south of present-day Luòyáng in Hénán province, China.
UNESCO has also listed Longmen Grottoes in World Cultural Heritage Site.
- The Longmen Grottoes are truly one of the most stunning sites and one of the finest examples of Buddhist art to be found anywhere in China. They are a series of man-made caves and grottoes containing thousands of Buddha statues, which were carved out of the limestone cliffs along a 1 km stretch on either side of the Yi River starting over 1,500 years ago.
- The sheer numbers of caves and statues are truly mind-boggling: There are 1,400 caves, which contain about 100,000 Buddha statues, ranging in size from a few centimeters to almost 20 meters in height. In addition, there are about 2,500 carved stelae with inscriptions and over 60 pagodas.
- Longmen Grottoes are considered one of the most important Buddhist ruins, a great number of tourists visit these sites to see the amazing work of Buddhist monks. - The most interesting part of this temple is the shadow of the temple, which surprisingly never falls on the ground at noon. The Brihadeshwar Temple is one of the tallest temples in the world and is so designed that the viman does not cast a shadow at noon during any part of the year.
At the entrance of the sanctum, one can see the two idols of Ganesha in the corridor. On taping the two, you will feel the sound traveling through the stone in one idol and through metal on the other. The main hall of the temple is said to have been used by the dancers and musicians performing in the service of Shiva.

#5. Mysterious 1600 Years Old Rust Free Iron Pillar Of Delhi
- The Iron Pillar of Delhi is famous throughout India. But one thing that most people don't know about it is that it is 99 per cent resistant to corrosion. The 7.21 meters tall structure is as much as 1600 years old and still stands completely rust-free.
- The question that remains that how was such a chemically advanced agent manufactured almost 2000 years ago. The Iron Pillar located in Delhi, India, is a 7 m (23 ft) column in the Qutub complex, notable for the rust-resistant composition of the metals used in its construction.
The pillar is a testament to the high level of skill achieved by ancient Indian iron smiths in the extraction and processing of iron.
- Made up of 98% wrought iron of pure quality, it is 23 feet 8 inches (7.21 m) high and has a diameter of 16 inches (0.41 m). Also, it was confirmed that the temperatures required to form such kinds of pillars cannot be achieved by the combustion of coal.
The pillar bears an inscription which states that it was erected as a flagstaff in honour of the Hindu god, Vishnu, and in the memory of the Gupta King Chandragupta II (375-413).
